What we collect

Matcher answers: Postcode prefix, age range, budget, format preference, NHS shared-care preference, priorities and your free-text notes. Depending on the questions you answer, this can also include information about your health (for example your height and weight / BMI and any weight-related conditions) and your ethnicity (used only to apply the correct clinical BMI threshold). Health and ethnicity are "special category" data under UK GDPR. Your answers are stored locally to prefill the form next time, and are sent to our matching service only when you choose to submit them.
Email (only if you ask us to): If you choose to have your matches emailed to you, we collect your email address to send that summary and any follow-up you've agreed to. You can unsubscribe at any time.
How you use the site (analytics): If you accept analytics in our cookie banner, we record how the site is used: the searches and filters you apply, which provider cards are shown and clicked, and basic device/browser type. The same applies to our free tools (such as the Goal Planner, the price checker and the switching tools): we keep the anonymised answers you choose to give — for example the medicine and dose band involved, a price band (never the exact amount), the first part of a postcode (never the full one), and reasons picked from a list — so we can understand demand for weight-loss support across the UK. This is tied only to a random per-session identifier — not your name, email or an account (there are none) — and anything you type as free text in a tool (like a letter or an email) stays on your device and is never sent to us. We publish and share this information only as aggregated statistics that can't identify anyone. If you don't accept analytics, none of this is collected.

Our lawful basis

We process your matcher answers on the basis of your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). Where your answers include health or ethnicity information — special category data — we rely on your explicit consent (Article 9(2)(a)), which you give by choosing to submit the matcher. You can withdraw consent at any time by not submitting the matcher and by clearing your browser data; withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out. For our privacy-friendly analytics we rely on your consent given via the cookie banner.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your data or share it for advertising. When you request matches, your answers are sent to a third-party AI provider that generates the suggestions on our behalf, as our data processor — contractually restricted to processing your data only to produce your matches. This processing may take place outside the UK; where it does, it is covered by appropriate safeguards (such as UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses). We do not retain your matcher answers on our servers after your results are generated.

Cookies

Essential — site functionality only (e.g. remembering your matcher answers).
Analytics — privacy-first, aggregated, no personal identifiers.
Advertising / tracking — none.

You choose whether to allow analytics when you first visit, via our cookie banner, and you can change your mind any time using "Cookie settings" in the footer. Essential storage (remembering your matcher answers) is always on because the site needs it to function.

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to: be informed; access your personal data; rectify inaccurate data; erase data ("right to be forgotten"); restrict processing; data portability; object to processing; and not be subject to automated decision-making with legal effect.

You can clear your stored matcher answers at any time by clearing your browser data for this site. Because we don't have accounts and don't store identifiable data on our servers, there's typically nothing else for us to delete on request.
