Why providers are listed
WeightMedsCompare lists independent UK providers of weight-loss medication to help users compare their options. Information shown is collected from public sources (provider websites, public registers, news reporting) and from providers themselves. Inclusion is editorial — providers do not pay to be listed and cannot pay to be removed solely because their information is unflattering.
Request a free correction
If your listing is factually inaccurate (price, services, location or availability), you can ask us to correct it at no cost. Email legal@weightmedscompare.co.uk with:
- your provider name and the URL of your WeightMedsCompare listing;
- the specific field(s) you want changed;
- the corrected value(s);
- a public source URL we can verify against (or a written confirmation from a named director / clinical lead).
We aim to acknowledge corrections within 2 working days and apply verified corrections within 5 working days.
Request removal of your listing
You can ask us to remove your listing entirely. We will normally honour reasonable removal requests from a verified representative of the provider, subject to the following:
- We may keep a short factual note that the provider was previously listed and chose to be delisted, where this is in the legitimate interests of users (e.g. so they understand why a previously-cited provider no longer appears).
- We will not remove information solely because it is true and unflattering, where doing so would mislead users.
- We may decline to remove neutral, factual information sourced from public registers (e.g. Companies House, CQC).
Notice-and-takedown procedure (Defamation Act 2013, s.5)
If you believe specific content on WeightMedsCompare is defamatory, you may serve a notice of complaint. Send the following to legal@weightmedscompare.co.uk:
- your name and address (we cannot act on anonymous notices);
- the URL where the statement appears;
- the exact words you say are defamatory;
- why you say the statement is defamatory of you, including any inaccuracy and any meaning you say it bears;
- confirmation of whether you consent to your name and contact details being passed to the original poster of the content (if any).
We will acknowledge a valid notice within 2 working days and respond substantively within 14 working days. Where the content is genuinely user-generated, we will follow the statutory steps under section 5 of the Defamation Act 2013 and the associated Regulations.
Intellectual property complaints
If you believe content on WeightMedsCompare infringes your copyright or trade mark, email legal@weightmedscompare.co.uk with: (1) the protected work; (2) the URL of the allegedly infringing content; (3) your contact details; (4) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorised; and (5) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are the rights holder or authorised to act on their behalf.
Vexatious or abusive requests
We reserve the right to decline requests that are vexatious, repetitious, or made in bad faith (for example to suppress accurate information about a regulatory action). Persistent abuse of this process may itself be referenced in the listing.
