How to choose a weight-loss injection provider: a 7-point checklist
The cheapest headline price isn't always the best deal, and the flashiest app isn't always the safest option. Here's a 7-point checklist to pick a provider that actually fits you.
1. The total monthly cost, not the headline
Add up the medicine, the consultation, the pens and needles, delivery and any monitoring. A low 'from' price with paid extras can cost more than a slightly higher all-inclusive price. Compare like for like — same medicine, same dose.
2. Regulation you can verify
A trustworthy service pairs a prescriber registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) with a pharmacy registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). Both should be checkable. Be wary of anyone selling prescription medicines without a proper consultation, or with prices that look too good to be true.
3. Clinical support and monitoring
Some services are largely a questionnaire and a delivery; others include prescriber review, dose-adjustment support, side-effect help and check-ins. If you want closer oversight — or you have other health conditions — pick a provider that offers proper ongoing support.
4. Which medicines and doses they offer
Not every provider offers every medicine. If you have a preference (for example Mounjaro, Wegovy, or a generic), or you may need to move up through doses, check they stock the full range and can supply it reliably.
5. Speed, delivery and discretion
How quickly can you start, and how is the medicine delivered? Injections need appropriate, often temperature-controlled, delivery. If privacy matters to you, check whether packaging is discreet.
6. How you can reach them
Weight-loss treatment is ongoing, so it helps to know how you'll get support between orders — email, chat, WhatsApp, phone — and whether help is available when you need it, especially early on when side effects are most likely.
7. Reviews — read them carefully
Look at recent reviews about ongoing support, delivery reliability and price transparency, not just the sign-up experience. A common theme in complaints is unexpected costs or hard-to-reach support, rather than the medicine itself.

Frequently asked
- Should I just pick the cheapest provider?
- Not on the headline price alone. Compare the total monthly cost including extras, and weigh it against regulation, support and reliable supply. The cheapest 'from' price can become the dearest once add-ons and a supply gap are factored in.
- Is it safe to buy weight-loss injections online?
- It can be, from a regulated UK provider that runs a proper clinical consultation, is CQC-registered for prescribing and GPhC-registered for dispensing. Avoid unregulated sellers, compounded or unlicensed products, and anyone skipping the consultation.
- How do I check a provider is properly registered?
- Pharmacies are listed on the GPhC register and prescribing services on the CQC register — both are free to search. On this site we show regulatory status on each provider so you can check before choosing.
